great dvd! friggin genius

The People Under the Stairs - Blindbuy sorta. I have a rental out right now, I'll watch it before I open the shrinkwrap to my purchase to see if I like it.
In the Mouth of Madness - I recall good reviews on this board, also a blindbuy.
The Shining - Finally upgrading from VHS. I had been holding out for some sorta SE but with this OOP, I figured I better get it during Halloween season.

The descent

Silent Hill - 2 disc tin box edition, cost as much as it would for me to go into town on the bus and rent it... so got a nice tin book edition to go with the director's other work in my collection.

Found the OOP "Mrs. Doubtfire", Widescreen no less, for $3.99, so I nabbed it. Probably going to hang onto this one, though.

It's a fine movie, though not really one that can be watched over and over. Hope you got it at a cheap price.

I bought Thank you for Smoking at my local going out of buisness Tower Records...

About damn time Tower Records goes belly up, they've been gouging people for years.

"Oh, you want that movie? $28.99"

"But Bestbuy has it for $15.99"

"You're paying for service"

Tower's new movies are super-expensive. Their older ones, if I remember correctly, have average prices though.

Was going to head out today to pick up Feast but didn't get around to it.

Really? I always found good deals on CD's there...
I never bought that many DVD's there, I got them from Amazon more.

Tower's CD prices were never less than anywhere else, but sometimes more than other places. Their DVDs were usually overpriced.
