Today I came into a large sum of money from a settlement due to legal matters that favored me. Needless to say, I went and treated my self to a mess of dvds.

I also bought a new PS2 game, Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

I broke down today and bought the sixth season of The Sopranos, my all time favorite TV show, because I didnt want to wait 3 months for a used set like I did with season 5.

I also got the SE 3 disc set of Oldboy. I watched Oldboy for the first time about a month ago and was absolutely blown away, so I just as well bought the dvd set with cool packaging.

I'm racking my brain trying to decide whether or not I should buy the Criterion editions of Videodrome and Seven Samurai. I have heard from many people that these are fantastic movies, especially the latter.

Does anyone have any input for these two possible blind buys?

videodrome is quality. i havent got the criterion edition cos i didnt want to pay the price. its defiently worth the purchase though.

as for seven samurai, its suppose to be one of the greatest movies of all time. kurosawa is a master.

i dont think you can go wrong with either purchase
