I have that movie. It's called "Out of the Dark".

Yeah, it sound like "Treasure of the 4 Crowns", which was in 3-D when it first came out in theatres. I have it in 3-D, but haven't watched it yet (I've only seen it in 2-D, previously).

I've never read anything about Jessica being based on anyone;however, the character from a movie that immediately came to my mind when I first saw Jessica Rabbit was Francesca from "Mad Monster Party, so I've also presumed that she was based on her, because there are so many similarities: the red hair, the super-curvy figure, and the same type of voice.

Yeah the only thing I can think of is "Hypersapien: People from Another Star", but the girl was the alien in that one. I know there's some movie called "Stranded" that has something to do with aliens or an alien visiting a girl, but I've never seen it and don't know what it's about.
'Sorry.

Did anyone else have a crush on Kelli Maroney from that movie (and she was great in "Chopping Mall", too), or was I the only one? 'Just wondering.

Although "April Fool's Day" is the name of an American horror flick (the one that roundisfunny put a link to a videobox cover of), it's not the one that The Mole is referring to. The one he's referring to (I'm almost certain) also has the same title, but it's also known as "Slaughter High". The only thing I don't remember from The Mole's description is the part about the killer dressing up as a jester, but it's been a while since I've seen the movie. Everything else he described fits, though. That movie had a really creepy ending, plus a cool song to end the movie, too. In case nobody knows already, the guy who played the killer commited suicide shortly after the movie finished.

I have no idea. If not for the "Old West" theme, I would have guessed "Million Dollar Mystery" since I've never seen it, but the commercial made it seem like it would have had scenes like that. It came out in 1985, so the timing is right, but, I have no idea what movie you're talking about at all.

Thats it! I guess I had the plot a bit confused but I only saw it once at a drive in movie over 20 yesrs ago and I can't vouch for my sobriety at the time. Thanks for getting that monkey off my back. I've been searching for years! Now.... is it available on video. I'll have to search for that next. 🙂 I saw the soundtrack on CD.

Wow! That sounds cool! I don't recognize it though.

Parts of your description sound like a T.V. show I have recorded, from the early 80's, called "Under the Mountain", which was about twins who encounter an old man who teaches them to use dormant powers they possess in order to help him defeat the Wilburfource's, a creepy family that is actually aliens that, when they shed (actually they would melt) their human skin, they'd turn into gigantic, blobby, nasty, muddy leech-like things. The old man did begin the twins' teaching using stones (perhaps the crystals you're thinking of). They didn't get warped to another dimension, but they did eventually have to go underground into a giant open pit which is where the Wilburforce's hung out when they wanted to get out of their skin (I think they had to spend time there as well due to the climate, too). The part about butterfly-people though didn't happen at all. Good luck finding the movie you're looking for.

I agree that

this isn't "April Fools Day." The lead in that movie is Muffy, whose 18th birthday coincides with April Fools Day. She's invited her friends to her birthday party. Muffy begins to completely change--her look, her manner of speaking, her movments and shortly after the friends begin dying off.
We learn that Muffy HAD a twin sister...(eerie Twilight Zone music plays)
This movie had a "surprise" ending that you could see coming a mile away.

I think the UK video cover of "Slaughter High" did feature a very creepy jester on it. I saw that movie years ago, but didn't remember it being on April Fools day but rather an impromptu class reunion of sorts in a deserted school building.

Help, need to find name of movie

Hi everyone,

I am looking for the title of an old movie, and someone said to give your forum a look.
Anyways, the movie I am looking for was I believe made in Minnesota in the 80's. It is about a car race between a gang and a high school kid. The high school kid's teacher raced the gang's leader in the past and won a Jukebox. The teacher's nickname was Fast Freddy, and he drove a souped up 1957 Chevy BelAir with a 427 in it. The high school kid gets challenged to another race, but his car gets blown up by the gang. The race mimicks the one "Fast Freddy" drove and won. It is a nonstop race throughout what I believe is downtown Minneapolis/St. Paul. So, "Fast Freddy" steps in and gives his car to the high school kid to race with. Freddy's '57 Chevy was originally stored in the cellar of a barn, but now the high school football field is in its place. They dig up the field, find the car and prep it for the race. The high school kid of course wins. This was a really cool movie with lots of car chase/crash scenes, police pursuits, etc. I just can't figure out the title. If anyone can suggest what the title to this movie is, It would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

How you know these details and not the name of the film is beyond me. 😕

I know they made a sequel, or remake or something of this movie. I saw it at Wal-Mart. It had Dan Akroyd, you could search that up. I think it was slaughter high. One the back of this one, it said something about no more clown. And it had a picture of zombies, and cool stuff i dont remember it too well just it look cool.
