Home: The Punisher (1989) with Dolph Lundgren and Louis Gosset Jr.
Weirdly, for a 1989 movie, it wasn't total crap! I think it helped that Doph didn't have many lines - and quite frankly (lol) his size and lack of personality made him more believable as a Punisher than Thomas Jane...
Still liked War Zone with Ray Stevenson better, though.

I like this movie a lot, don't understand the criticism it gets. It was dark, moody and had The Punisher killing off gangsters and triads. The only thing missing was the skull on the t-shirt.
I didn't like the Thomas Jayne one, it felt flat and Travolta was unusually subdued as the villain.

True dat. The only part I liked about the Thomas Jayne version was the ending - but the rest of the film just dragged on, and on...
Back to the topic: Saw Machete tonight - was even crapper than I expected. I knew it was gonna be crap, and ridiculous, and I thought I was ready for it - but seriously, it's just not worth watching.
