The Keanu version of The Day The Earth Stood Still. Hm... I mean, I liked it. But I might have to get my hands on the original, cause apparently it's much more highly regarded.

It's pretty much a cheeseball - but among the first of its kind.

Watched "Wag the Dog" last night - internet was on the fritz for the past two days.

Theater: The Worlds End

rewatching Firefly. [the series] Serenity is the movie.

Predators

Stallone's Bullet To The Head.
Talk about the most lacklustre team-up ever!
Mamoa/Stallone axe fight was awesome however Stallone's character winning was far fetched.

What did you think? I kinda liked it. Kind of a simple, throw-back style. A nice break, imo, from the rampant CGI and over-the-top spectacle that's going on these days.

It had...Walter Hill potential.
It's just that neither Stallone's character or the Korean cop were likeable enough to give a dam what happened to them.

Theater: The Conjuring.

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Very strange, but still pretty good. 😄

Just back from Only God Forgives.

3 words.

Beautiful Boring violence.

An absolute work of art in terms of cinematography. Violence which too few films for cinema release aim for anymore due to not wanting to attract an R or 18 rating.

A plot that plods along at such a horrendously slow pace and which has almost no dialogue that it detracts from the film to a colossal degree. This could've been a genuinely brilliant film. Instead it was brought down to average due to horrible pacing and characters all of which are just vile and unlikable.

Oblivion on blu-ray.
It was ok although I did doze off towards the end because of the movie's slow pacing. I watched the ending this morning & it was too sugary sweet for me.

Theater: Now you see me

The Wolverine

Bingewatching Medium. [Guilty Pleasure]

The Mother of Tears. (2007)

Argento's finale of the "3 Mothers Trilogy".

It was OK. It was epic compared to Susperia and Inferno.
Yet lacked any of the substance the previous had.
It was nice to have an end though.

Pain & Gain.

Oblivion

Watched "The Ice Harvest" with John Cusack and Billy Bob Thornton, and "Marina" with Demi Moore and Jeff Daniels.

Home: "Chasing Mavericks"

liked it.

Gerard Butler is an inconsistent actor. He doesn't emote very well.
