So that's what happened with it?.........i was looking forward to the movie at the time then eventually had to buy it on dvd.

Yeah I looked up the budget on IMDB and it is estimated at about $45 million and it only made about $19 million. Must have been marketed very poorly because I didn't even hear about it at the time. Might have had a limited release or something, too. It's a shame because it's a pretty cool character and was pretty well done.

Theater: Ender's Game

Theater: Thor: The Dark World (for my 2nd time).
Home: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

ELF

I'm half way through Elysium film, but, I'm not into it at the moment. I have a man crush on Matt Damon 😛 I f**king do....Bourne trilogy, Good Will Hunting and a few others.

It's not striking a cord for me! I realize it's Sci-Fi which I hate. The fifth element was alright and star wars, through starwars in a classic. Mind you, I hated the Hobbit but the lord of the rings was good. Peter Jackson wanted more money...Kiwi! F**k a sheep Peter 😂 Australian and New Zealanders would get that!

That's a new one to me The Hobbit & Lord Of The Ring's movies being Sci-fi.

Well!...............it's not the future, well...it maybe??? 😂

I read the Hobbit year 6 at school and I hated it and at boarding school we had to do it again. I much prefer lord of the flies! No s**t...youngsters will do anything to survive. Isn't the hunger games has that premise? f**k ought! 😄 I should be a screen writing, but sadly, I can't spell and form sentences too much now..after a brain injury. expressive dysphasia!

R.I.P.D - I wish I hadn't. The only thing that made the film do-able was Ryan Reynolds face 😛

Hobbit 2 it was awesome!

At Home: Fellowship of the Ring 8/10

Ben-Hur (1959-1960)

At 3 & 1/2 hrs it's perhaps a bit too long, but Charlton Heston is awesome. Great movie. Enjoyed it much more than I expected, still holds up quite well. Sometimes I long for the old-school methods of filmmaking. I think that's a big reason why Tarantino is so effective. He uses longer shots and steady cam and it really immerses the viewer in a way that all this modern choppy editing just can't.

Watched "All Good Things." Creeps me out that "David Marks" [whatever his real name is] was given minimal sentencing AND is still alive today...

Now You See Me.
Really enjoyed it, well done & feel good. Great casting too.

theater: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Theater: The Hobbit desolation of smaug, much better than the first

I was surprised it had some many action scenes in it but it made it more enjoyable...

Man of Tai Chi

Simple, but awesome. One of my top 5 of 2013...

the departed! what a movie, oh boy!!!

The Hobbit el numero 2

Saw it at 48 f/sec (my main reason for paying to see it) and in 3D and it looked absolutely magnificent. Makes the quick action much less disorienting. It's weird at first, but much better. It honestly plays about the same as some of the new TVs now that play at 120 or 240 Hz. As for the movie itself, more of the same, about what I expected. We see things like this for the spectacle. Missed Golem-ses and the humor from the first one, but it was still pretty good. It's better paced. The spider sequence is great.
