Hey Kaz, do you remember the name of an Australian horror movie you posted a link to, several moths ago?

It was a monster/creature movie with possible Aboriginal folklore attached to it.

Tried watching Swiss Army Man. It's probably a good movie but just not my taste.

That's on my list. I want to see it soon.

Have you seen Horns yet?

I enjoyed it but it kinda felt awkward in parts...like the director couldn't decide if he wanted to go suspense, horror or comedy.

Same here. Quite liked some scenes but felt that it was a bit inconsistent. Still, I enjoyed watching it.

Been meaning to see that, too. Keep forgetting about it.

Nope....i don't remember making a thread a movie of that nature.

A Single Shot, I love Sam Rockwell! 😍

Lights Out

Soldier (1998)

Even more awesome than I remembered.

Swiss Army Man (2016)

A profoundly odd movie. It's definitely well done and worth a watch, but probably wouldnt watch again. Although I love that boners and farts are actually large contributors to the plot, haha..

He's awesome in a very manly heterosexual way, too. I've never heard of it. Is it good, or is it some boring chick flick? 😘

Home: "30 Days of Night"

There was speculation at the time that Kurt Russell was being considered as the next Batman & Soldier was like a "dummy movie" to see if he had the screen presence to pull it off.

Equilibrium was Bale's "dummy movie."

Both characters played it cold & calculating & wore trench coats.
Both utilised the shadows to attack their foes.

Phantasm Ravager--I am a little annoyed.

It's about a guy (Sam's character John Moon) who lives out in the backwoods of Virginia who sometimes goes onto property that forbids hunting and poaches deer, ends up shooting a girl and finds her camp with a LOT of money.

Drug dealers, crooked lawyers, ex-wife problems, and shootouts. A dark slice of life drama.

I'd say he did have good screen presence, but Soldier certainly didn't give him freedom to exhibit much charisma. He was a bit stoic.

Sounds interesting.

Inferno

It was decent, not that I have read book to know what's been changed or added etc.

^ I'm looking forward to seeing that in a couple weeks.

How did it compare to Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons?

Presumed Innocent (1990)

8/10
