Edge of Darkness (2010)With Mel Gibson. 2nd time. Saw it long ago. I like it. Cool little conspiratorial mystery. Martin Campbell is a talented filmmaker, Green Lantern aside.
This is a true little gem. One of the movies where Gibson shows what a good actor he can be when he tries.
I was a little hungover yesterday and X-mas movies helped pass the time..
Home Alone (1990)
-Still holds up pretty well. I hadn't seen it since I was a kid. It's funny hearing Joe Pesci suppressing his profanity.. haha
How the Grinch Stole X-mas (2000)
-Sort of the Batman & Robin of X-mas movies, haha, but I still like it. Maybe that's why I like it? lol. Jim Carey is entertaining.
The Christmas Chronicles (2018) on Netflix.
-The whole Santa mythology thing isn't really my cup of tea, but it's okay.

Mel Gibson's a f#cking phenomenal actor. What are you talking about?
Yeah, I've never found Mel Gibson disappointing at all as an actor. Which is probably part of why he's such a brilliant director, too.
Let's see, watch another Christmas movie and a couple non-Christmas movies...
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)
-I forgot how much fun this film is, having not seen it since I was a kid. It's like live-action Looney Tunes... haha, highly entertaining.
Bad Times at the El Royale (2018)
-Surprisingly enjoyable Tarantino-esque mystery/crime/thriller.
Creation (2009)
-This film is pretty criminally underrated. If you're interested in Charles Darwin it's pretty amazing. Paul Bettany kills it as Darwin and Jennifer Connelly is always amazing. I found his relationship with his daughter that died sooo moving. I don't think I've ever cried that much during a film.
And of course I had Die Hard on in the background for X-mas morning. 👆 👆
