Piano about World War 2

John Wick: Chapter 3.

Secret Life of Pets 2: Decent stuff. If you like animals you'll like it.

Final Fantasy XV: Kingsglaive: Figured I should watch it before starting my first playthrough. Wasn't bad. Some nice sequences. Decent animation.

The Blair Witch Project- 9/10

Still one of my favorite horror films of all time, and I still get chills during the scene where the witch can be heard cackling and the sounds of the dead children emanate in the forest background. The movie masterfully melds local legend with at he time innovative found footage techniques, and the gradual breakdown of Heather and her team and the stark simplicity of the film have made it last. Always a pleasure to watch

Nosferatu (1922) 8/10

I mean what can I add about this film? Nosferatus appearance was ahead of its time and must’ve been horrifying for the Time period. For me even without the audio, it’s a genuine trip to see how these films were made. Schrecks movements in the final 4 minutes are highly creepy and well done, and while it’s a challenge for me to care for the other characters Nosferatu himself was a treat to watch

Bone Tomahawk 7/10

A gritty horror Western which I rented off Amazon prime for 99 cents. While the trek to the endgame seemed to take a while, the gore and determination of Patrick Wilson’s character and the posse seemed real. Definitely a smaller scale film and with a few memorable executions. It drags during a few moments but it really picked up in the final act

Suspiria (2018) 9/10

Set in the background of Cold War era Germany, this tale of dancing witches really packs on a ton of atmosphere. A brooding mixture of supernatural and body horror, the film takes the influential film to a beer audience with a commanding performance from Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson. The bleak setting of West Germany seems to weigh heavy on the characters, as the mood shifts from multiple perspectives (the Professor and Suzy). The Dance sequences are extremely well done, the imagery is gruesomely beautiful, and the buildup to the finale is tense and dark. While it’s a slow burner and a hefty 2 1/2 hours the film is easily one of the best horror films of last year. I’ll have to see the original

Taxi Driver 10/10

Simply put one of my favorite films of all time. Bleak, gritty, and masterfully told by Scorsese about a war vets descent into madness. My 3-4th time seeing it and I still love it

Oh, Jesus... that movie had one of the most brutally violent things I have ever seen on screen. I don't cringe very often at violence, but that one scene was truly horrific. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Spoiler:
When they split the guy down the middle at the crotch, I think... something like that.

Equilibrium 6/10

Murder Mystery - The Netflix Adam Sandler movie. Silly, entertaining stuff.

In the theatre - The Last Jedi. 😘 😘 😘 😘 😘
