Black Night. (1996) 8/10

This is so bad it's good. So stupid you cant turn away.

A Kid in King Authur's Court

4/10

If you wanna see a baby Daniel Craig, he is in A Kid in King Authurs Court.

Lost City 3/10

Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum are bad in this movie. Bad over all and waste of film rom com more like bad acting, bad script, bad chemistry, bad Hollywood garbage.

i know its a polarizing sequel. I'm in the group that likes it.

Same. 👆

THE 355

The plot/maguffin was standard, done in lots of movies/TV shows, but the lead actresses saved it w. really good performances and chemistry.

The fight and action scenes were really well done and pretty brutal in some cases.

Penelope Cruz still looks damn good for pushing 50.

If Looks Could Kill. 1991. 10/10

Why hasn't this movie been remade. Funny, hilarious, 90's gold.

Been too busy for a while. But I've seen all the 2022 Best Picture Oscar nominees recently...

CODA - winner, and well-deserved
The Power of the Dog - the one I thought would win, also very good
Don't Look Up
Dune
Licorice Pizza - Good, but not really my cup of tea, though it does have some good humor
Drive My Car - too long and too slow, but otherwise there was a good movie there somewhere
King Richard - Really good, much better than I was expecting, Will Smith with a much-deserved win, Stupid Slapper though
Belfast - really good, but not really my cup of tea music-wise
Nightmare Alley - didn't much care for the cliched first act or so, but it got much better (needed more Dafoe, though)
West Side Story - didn't finish.. meh

Except I didn't finish West Side Story. Just didn't feel like finishing a musical. But other than that most of the BP nominees were quite good. I was pleased to see Dune win a lot of awards, even though I think Villeneuve was snubbed in the Best Director category.

Some other movies I've watched recently...

Powder Blue - just watched for Jessica Beil's strip teases, OMG fu#king yummy, movie not very good, though
Wild Things - great eye candy, too many twists that made it nonsensical, but it did have an intoxicating style and tone
Forrest Gump - re-watch, it had been too many years, it's awesome
Assault of Wall Street - Uwe Boll, watchable but also has his mediocrity stamped on it
Spider-man: The Return of Dafoe and Molina - overrated, but some fun nostalgia
What's Eating Gilbert Grape - good movie, Leo DiCaprio is disturbingly convincing
Studio 666 - stupid, but kind of fun, especially to watch the actual band act

morbius

Nate. 2022 8/10

Family movie about a boy who skip school to try out for a musical. It was good, just needed a wider shot at the end.

Rewatch: The Boy Who Could Fly. 80s gold 10/10

Did he fly? Yes he did!

Rewatch: Peggy Sue Got Married. 4/10

Why do I keep watching this movie over again?? Peggy has knowledge of the future and all she can think about his her trivial little life. You have knowledge of the future and you bring back pantyhose. Do girls still wear pantyhose? Whatever, you get to see young Nicolas Cage act like a total loser.

The Batman

At home: CODA (2021)

Was good, even if you saw the plot coming a mile away.

Yeah plot wise it was by the numbers but it was well acted.

And man I used to have such a crush on Marlee Matlin. Even now I wouldn’t kick her outta bed for eating crackers.
