Doon could have ripped him off, stolen the Serpent craft from AK.

What would AK be doing selling Serpent craft? And worse, what was IN that Serpent craft? You've seen how the Serpent operate!

Galder realizes the horrible truth. The only way that AK could recognize the stolen ship as being Doon's...

"Um...just a second..." Galder says, ushering Rianna and Gallador away from the droid.

"You guys...I have a very bad feeling about this. This droid here...he recognizes the ship as being Doon's. And yet, it was stolen...now...if it's stolen, why would AK recognize it as Doon's?"

Exactly- why would AK think a stolen Serpent vessel was Doon's? Unless...

"Your ship looks a little dented," says AK. "I shall be back in just one moment... whilst I am getting my stock list, I may as well see if you are interested in some of these other knick-knacks..."

Whilst you talk to each other, AK wonders back to his ship to get his sales pad. He'll be back by the time you folks finish.

(Or, of course, he may be trying to get something to kill us - the whole Rah thinking that we'd all die thing.)
