Carrie

I got to say that this is a classic

I can't believe there isn't any other "Carrie" threads! Anywho, "Carrie" is indeed a classic, and one of DePalma's best ever. Its influence is all over the place in movies like "May", and numerous other flicks dealing with otherwise reserved teens who have a dark side.

I did enjoy May, underrated film. As for Carrie, it is indeed a classic, fantastic film.

Don't bother with the sequel unless you want to see Amy Irving playing her character again.

Carrie is sexy 😖hifty: Did you knot that carrie kill more people than anyother slasher?

I could've sworn there was another Carrie thread....

Anyway, Carrie is very good. The book is better though. As I hear, stay away from the sequel and the remake?

This is one of my faves, come 2 think of it i watched it 2 or 3 days ago lol.

I haven't Bothered with the Sequel the Tv remake was better than crap but worse than ok if u get me🙂

I just rented The Rage. It wasn't too bad. They could've made Rachael into more of an outcast though. She didn't have it nearly as bad as Carrie did.

Speaking of the TV remake, I actually own it. It's wayyyyy too long, the plot is kinda haggard, but Angela Bettis is great in it, and the equation with which you absolutely cannot lose.

Katharine Isabelle + Softball shorts + Shower Scenes = ✅

I didn't find The Rage that bad, even though it doesn't have a good reputation.

I just bought Carrie a couple of days ago, I thought it was a pretty good film for its time.

Yessir..

Nice pics Cory!

So I take it Katharine and that blond bimbo in the pics with her are the two "evil" popular chicks?

Precisely, kinda like the P.J. Soles and Nancy Allen of the original. There's a random black chick in there as well, the one who ends up feeling sorry for Carrie and wants to help her. Guess it was Amy Irving in the original?

That wouldn't happen to be the one in the pic above, giving the guy in the black shirt the view of a lifetime while nonchalantly eating a pink pen at the same time?

That would be her. She has incredible eyes, that's all I remember, lol. If you know who he is, she looks like a female Gary Dourdan (CSI, Alien: Resurrection.)

Damn, and I didn't rent the remake yesterday thinking it was gonna suck.

Well, the "visuals" are great, Angela Bettis stands out, and the High School chicks are real bitches. The movie itself suffers just from being too damn long, and there's this "Usual Suspects" kind of narrative investigation side story. Some say it's closer to the novel than DePalma's. I wouldn't know, personally.

I'll have to check it out then. I heard the ending went more askew from the book though.

By the way, the girl with the glasses in the original, I can't see as one of the "popular girls". She'll always be the secretary from Ferris Bueller.
