does doctors gender matter to you ?

Im making this poll as a favor to my sister . She is going into have a a consultation with a surgeon for a breast reduction . She researched her doctor and found him to be a well qualified doctor . She did not pick this doctor based on his gender . She works for a radiologist clinic where she schedules appts for patients to see the doctors .

Her husband is not comfortable with the fact that her doctor is a man . Its his opinion that she is the only female that doesnt mind having a male doctor . Obviously this is not true . Why he thinks this is beyond me .

I have a male GYN doctor and i wouldnt change based on his gender...he is a great doctor and thats why i go to him .

please give me your honest opinion here....

I am not a big fan of doctors or hospitals either they scare the pant off me or the skirt for that matter!It also does not matter if they are a girl or a boy as long as they know what they are doing then I am fine.JM

Oh I'm not scared, I'm just one of those people who'd go to work with a limb missing or a fatal illness or something alike.

Whenever I go to a doctor it matters more to me that they know their job, are considerate and make me feel comfortable. I've had a male Indian doctor every time I've had 'personal' examinations and it hasn't bothered me 😬

I don't care but I prefere female doctors as long as it aint about my privates (then I think a male doctor just has a better feeling about it)

Seriously no it doesn't matter what gender your health care professional is, if your comfortable with them and they work for a reputable clinic then there should be no problems!

When I had appendicitis earlier this year I was examined by several female doctors, and following surgery I had be catheterised and that was done by female nurses... which was nice! 😖hifty:

We all know guys are dumbasses anyway, but I've never questioned it, and I've only had female nurses, and doctors. I'd perfur to only have a female doctor do my physical.

generally it doesn't matter.

but in some situations i prefer female doctors 😬

All my doctor's are male, my dentist, family, former ortho, my former paediatrician 😕

The only one I wouldn't want a male is a gyno, a tad creepy in my opinion 😮
Plus I seriously think a woman would have a better perspective.

as a man, I don't care 😊 unless it's a pervy, gay, male doctor fear

if I was a woman, I wouldn't care... as long as they didn't look like one of those old paedo doctors fear

I was a little weirded out initially, but mine was so sophis I felt like if I made a fuss I'd seem unbalanced 😂 It was like him having to perform that examination didn't register on his brain, I guess doing it as often as he did it must become like second nature 🙄

Yes, I want it to be a female, especially if I'm getting a physical. 😄
