OK just gonna say stuff.

Cinn, If someone creates a thread, its an open topic for discussions. Meaning we can express our opinions here, and if our opinions just so happen to be "Christianity Sucks" then so be it. We arn't flaming anyone just stating our opinion.
No offence but I think this mod thing has gone to your head...

Well, you think wrong, and when someone sets out to deliberately upset others, it's against established rules and guidelines. I'm only doing my job.

We know, but you decided that thios thread is ok, diodn'T you. Not that anyone uses it as what it was int3ended but still

No, I'm allowing it to stand because after some furthur consideration, I feel as if the intention of the thread, albeit somewhat suspicious in nature, wasn't extremely harsh or deliberately offensive. Besides, BackFire's a seasoned vet and he would have closed it down had it been too heated.

I myself am a Christian, and this could be viewed as a sensitive topic, moderate mocking of faith if you will, by many others. Just be careful in how you "word" what's on your mind. Don't call the religion crap, then go about "thanking" us for petty things like television shows,

In addition, rest assured that I won't let my religious affiliation cloud my judgment in the moderation of these threads, but I have no choice but to be strict when it comes to what *I* feel is abuse of priviledge, in hazing or flaming. I'm a rather unbiased person, and I will conduct myself as such, and I ask that others do the same in their debates.

Well that sounds fair.

I'm a fair guy, although some people misinterpret what I lay out, even when what I do is clearly in the best interest of the forum and it's users. I appreciate your understanding though, Bardock. I wish more people would be equally as vocal.

Personally I see no reason to close this thread down. Indeed it is kinda psychotic to make a thread to "almost bash" a religion. But I saw noone here breaking any rules just yet.

I know you meant no offense Tptmanno1. But that was an unfair statement. I don't want to take sides here but Cinema was only pointing out something from the rules. You're quite correct on saying that is your opinions and that goes for everyone (speak your minds and listen to what others say). As long as there is no bashing everything should be fine. Everyone is entitled to their freedom to express their opinions.

On the topic on hand here is my opinion. Basically I feel there is already far too much finger pointing in our history. We should recognize our mistakes and should be willing to accept the consequences of our past. But instead of blaming we should ensure that events that happen in the past don't repeat themselves. Is a never a good thing to give too much power to a religion, nation, or any group of individuals. The problems of the past has been our own carelesness to monitor those in power. Yes, the church did commit those atrocities and we have to make sure it doesn't happen again. Same with any goverment of any group of people that have any political power.

Err that was hardly on topic

ok, christians, i have a question: i did some reaserch, and there is this place, called the tabernacle (spelling...yeah, i cant spell)...anyway, a tornado of fire comes from the sky, and speaks the word of god...so says men...anyway, again....if an unpure person comes in, they will be struck down by lightning...so my question: was paul or whoever stoned?... a tornado of fire? yeah, i dont see that ever, and some people really believe it...explain why...

the tabernacle is a Mormon temple, it also refer to the movable sanctuary the ark of covenant(Raiders Of The Lost Ark) was carried in during the exodus, and a place were jews can worship.
Also the place around the alter in which the churches keep their stuff they use for the communion

It' s a biblical metaphor.

they will be struck down by lightning..
very zeus like

yes, or jupiter for that matter

biblical metaphor or not... people believe in it...and i'd like to know why, because it seems like quite a strech to me, and i have christian friends that say, "oh yeah it's true, because the bible says so." and i dont want to piss them off, so if someone who does believe in it could give me a reason why, it would help...

and yes it is very greek or roman...which ever...
