the ps2 controller is to angular. it doesn't have enough space between the controller prong and the controller base. and the joystick seems to have a dead zone. the R+L buttons don't respond to pressure as easily, and you can't register they are as easily.
the type S x-box pad is nice. it has a good distance for the prongs, and theb uttons are well shaped. the joysticks are very high quality, and respond in a god degree of sensitivety, with no dead spots. they feel juuuust right. the triggers have a good sensitivity, and have varying pressure when pressed. the white buttons are to hard to hit, along with the start button.
the gamecube controller is very comfortable, with a feeling as if it was shaped to fight your hand the first time you pick it up. the joysticks aren't pressable, and the C-stick is very springy, and hard to aim with.
the R+L buttons are very nice, and you can put a huge range on them, from simply holding them down, to pressing them like buttons. they fight your fingers well. the butons are easy to hit, and I can hit all of them with my thumb quite easily. A-button sticks when gunk gets in. Z-button is the hardest button to hit ever,
