I say Jean, (Xavier? I hope not, its a waste of a slot), and someone strong. Either Colossus (Doubtful, with Juggernaut and all) or Rogue.

The Scarlet Witch can be pulled off, I think, someone's argument won me over. It can be this totally random but cool effect where everything goes wrong for the other guys. The ground beneath them explodes, the walls around them crush in, the cans + explosives blow up. Cool stuff. + Without Hex Bolts, more of a radial wave.
The other two, howzabout Mimic (meh) and maybe Mastermind, though he's hard to play.
I really want jean in the second game but now im not so sure shes in it. In an interview with the creator they said with magneto you could toss around enemies you could do that with jean in the last game but its soo much cooler with magneto. That makes me oubt jean being in the game. Also i hope brother hood x-men ration isnt 8 - 8 who really wants to play as toad or mystique?
From a gaming perspective it would be a lot more interesting to have someone like Toad thrown in then have Gambit whose in-game abilities aren't that much different from Cyclops. I really really hope they don't waste a slot on Xavier like in XML1, I liked playing as Xavier but if you only get to play as him for a little bit then that shouldn't be counted as an official playable character.
Brotherhood predictions: Avalanche, Pyro, Blob, if Jean is out then imo Mastermind is in (so far no telepaths)
Who I'd want instead: Scarlet Witch, Spiral
X-Men predictions: Rogue cos she's a tank with a difference, Gambit, Psylocke if Jean is out
Who I'd want instead: Shadowcat, Banshee would be interesting
Yeah should be the same HH from Alpha Flight. Blink as an NPC too according to gamespy.com
Should note that IGN is the only one saying that it's an 8/8 split. They could be wrong... we'll see... 16 playable characters in all I'm pretty sure of but then nothing's certain in this world now is it? Should also note that if any information I've read and put on here is wrong my apologies. 😄
