Yeah I know Sage does make sense I said he's understandable. Well most of his songs are. He does have an odd one here and there. It's Aesop I just can't understand. I mean honestly, to any Aes fans here, can you really make sense of most of the stuff he says? I can't. I'm not knocking anyone's taste or anything it's just lyrically I don't get him. I respect him I just don't get him.
The thing about Aesop is that he doesnt stick to one subject for more than a few lines (thats how i hear it anyway). The only tracks i remember him sticking to the one subject on is "no regrets" and "9-5". Even though he is hard to decipher i still love his style and there are some real words of wisdom in his music, its just very erratic when compared to someone like Sage who is deep but explains himself more clearly than Aesop. Both of them kick seven shades of shit out of Eminem anyway. thumbsup

No, their lyrics are supposed to come off as a joke. They assume personas almost for each album. You think Ad Rock really believes he is the greatest MC ever? No way, the lyrics are usually 90% tongue in cheek. And their best album was Paul's Boutique, that was one of the best hip hop albums of the 80s.
