A Poem For a Lady
See the sapphires roll down her cheek,
See the warrior humble and meek,
See him leave her week upon week,
See him find the battles he'd seek,
Watch the Lady cry out in pain,
Watch her hold back and refrain,
Watch her wait again and again,
Watching for him in freezing rain.
Fearing the day he will not return,
Fearing his flag on the field will burn,
Fearing he will lose the loving yearn,
Fearing all she'll have is his urn.
He knows she needs not fear his life,
He knows he pledged long ago to his wife,
He know her turmoil and her strife,
He know he'll return to his fife.
She'll be waiting out in the rain,
She'll be standing in the snow again,
She'll never become too plain,
She'll be all he desires, no different, the same.
Just a quickie I wrote umm, like a few minutes ago. Hope you enjoy.
