Do you consider either of these a horror movie?

Do you consider these "horror" movies?

Do you consider either Alien or Silence Of The Lambs a horror movie?

They seem like they may be, but they also seem like they might be more appropriate for a different genre.

I am asking because some people around here I have noticed list them as horror movies, and some do not.

So do you consider either one a horror movie?

Alien has all of the elements of a horror movie, if you changed the spaceship to an old castle and the alien to an ancient monster there would be no doubt.

Yes, I see them both as horror. Alien a Horror/Sci-Fi, and Silence of the Lambs a psychological horror.

🙁 I am a SHE.

😄

I consider them both horrors.

What about Identity? Horror or not?

Identity would be more thriller, Like Seven and Saw should be considered, But the line between thriller and horror is very thin and crossed often.

Alien Horror? Yes. I consider Silence of the lambs more of a drama/thriller.

The first Alien is a horror film, the sequels are not.

Silence of the Lambs....it definately has some horror elements...but I think it's more or less a thriller then horror.

I said "Alien", horror and "Lambs", thriller/suspense.

i think Hanibal verges on horror thanks to the more "violence over suspence" aproach

Yeah, and the fact he cuts people to pieces and eats them.

Identity to me is a psychological slasher movie.

I would have to say Alien.

Same as everyone...Alien is horror. Silence is more of a detective story with great drama and suspence with a few touches of horror.

Alien is definitely a horror.

I consider both of them horrors!
