I wanna belive in god..

I wanna belive in god but for some reason I just cant.. My dad died on 9/11 and I guess I just wanna think that somehow there is a heaven and a place up there and a god, but when I just think of all the facts and everything its just hard imagining there being a heaven, what makes you all belive that there is a heaven and a god?

I dont know... i had a parent die out of no where to (not in a nation wide event like yours of course) and it makes it hard to believe too

Sweetie, I am so sorry for your loss! As for your statement of wanting to believe in God, there is not really anyone who can answer that. I used to want to believe in him, and I mean the God the Catholics follow. But my heart was never comfortable with it, it didn't seem right to me. I found my faith (and Goddess) in Wiccanism.
Sometimes, it can take awhile, and sometimes the answer never comes. Just know that whether or not there is a Heaven or Hell, you're dad will always be with you! I will light a candle for you tonight!

Let's say for a minute I don't believe in my God (the christian one), I would still believe in a higher power and probably go to a faith with a monotheistic way of worship. Because I do not doubt there is a "Higher Power" I just choose to worship it as God.

Even if you don't believe in god you may still have a feeling that god does exist and that he is with you and that your father (bless his soul)is with him right now in heaven.

i believe in God and everything but how do we know that God and Jesus and heaven are all real?....the only clue as to this being somewhat factual are the Bible..but couldn't some guy have just sat down and deciced that he wanted people to remember him forever so created everything....a couple friends and i once spent like a whole week coming up with diferent theories and opinions on all this....really makes you think..

I'm am sorry for your loss but there are all types of signs out there you just have to believe in your heart that HE is there. just like the wind you cant see it, but you can feel the effects of it being here. thats the way it is with GOD you cant see but through HIS works and miracles you know HE is there. i lost my grandfather a couple of years ago and it was hard to deal with his death but HE gave me a comfort that i know HE is there for me. i suggest you sit down one night and talk to GOD, ask him to give you a sign that HE is there for you. it may take a while but he will show you in some way that He is there for you.

Then just believe!! You must have Faith in God. Faith is believing when you don't see. Jesus Loves everyone and he died on the cross for everyone, we just all have the choice to chose him or not.

I also lost my mom, and it's very hard at times, some days are worse than others. We don't always understand everything, and things don't always go are way or the way we think they shld go, but that doesn't mean that God is not here, that doesn't mean he's not hearing us. Its just like if you had a kid, and you gave your kid everything they always wanted, what kid of person do you thk he/she would turn out to me? Most likely a spoiled rotton bratt, that no one likes to be around, cuz they always whinn if things don't go their way. God can't give us everything we want for the exact same reason. We would take him for granted and use him and thats wrng. Everything we go thru in life we get stronger, or weaker depends on how we handle the situation. GOD Is always there to help us thru it, but the problme is we always try to do it on are own.

Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

I guess there's no chance I'LL be saved....😛
