Thanks, actually... that's a great philosophy. We'll just chatter to one another in our respective threads so they're kept on the first page. Maybe one of us could post a poem from time to time, but it's not a necessity 😆

And being in love doesn't mean you can't write poetry 😛

For me, being happy means I am less likely to write something powerful. Happiness and love just aren't the right ingredients, no one wants to read slobbering tosh 😂

If you are in love, I don't think you are limited to writing about love. You can expand your positive feelings to encompass things that inspire you and hypnotize you. Also, when you are in love, does it cause you to ignore the troubles of the world - poverty, natural disasters, despotic presidents, etc? If the answer is 'no', then you still have plenty to write about.

Here is a little list of things you could write about:

Race riots
Winter
Rain
Snow
Food
Trees
Music
The Common Cold
Truth
Your favorite word
Fruit

Basically, you shouldn't let yourself think that poetry is balanced on a love - hate axis with nothing in between.
