my poems

I suppose the purpose of this thread is to post my poems basically, o.k here goes:

I feel it swelling up inside me,
like a huge pit of darkness,
i've got to get away,
to avoid hurting people and myself,
what do i do?
where do i turn?
i've got to get away
before my anger destroys anyone.

I know this kinda short and not that good but i'll try and put some effort into it. Anyone's free to post comments on any of the poems, and anyone can enter their poems, and there doesn't have to be a particular theme, though i do have a thing for writing poems about darkness.

Keep them coming... the great thing about poetry is the structure, it's flexible and there's no particular way of writing. It's all about the individuality 😊

you could write some of your own of course, that'd be great.

in a place of loneliness,
a place in the middle of nowhere,
filled with all that darkness has to offer,
a place where evil prevails,
even nature itself hurries to get away,
as a stream of water rushes to find light and space,
but there is no exit,
and no entrance,
only whats inside,
one look at this place may tell you it's where I belong.

I used to be quite good at writing poems before, but I think Im losing my touch. These poems seem a little dramatic, what you reacon, anybody?

Just be careful as to where you end and begin sentences/lines, it has a very obvious effect.... it's not so much the vocab in poetry, more the way you portray the message, y'know?

And we all have our own threads for our own poetry 😊

um i need some inspiration, i wanna write about something other than darkness and death, more like something on the bright side.
oh well here goes,

Every morning when I wake up,
I hear the laughter of the world,
I see children playing together,
in the utmost harmony,
then I see the sorrow of the world,
I see the wars breaking loose,
I pray that it'll all go away,
and we could live our lives in peace,
the way it was before,
but nothing seems to be changing,
it's the same as it's always been.

Comments anyone?sorry i just have to ask. I'm making this up as I go along. And some of it's from this bit of islamic music by a really wicked islamic artist.

Every time I think about life,
I think about war,
I think about misery,
I think about the pain,
War costs many lives,
which causes misery to many loved ones,
and pain as they think about all the time they spent together.
Life makes me think of death,
and how many there are,
each year,
each month,
each week,
even each day.
Life makes me think of THE END,
and when will mine be near.

At dawn when people wake up and embrace the world,
I hide away for the rest of the day,
and when the dusk embraces our world,
I come out and embrace it also,
as the rest of the world sleeps I creep out to the edge of a cliff,
and gather my thoughts about what I think of life,
after many moments of thinking I stood up and turned to go,
suddenly the rocks beneath me gave way to the darkness below,
as I plunged deep into the depths of the unruly waters,
that only moments before seemed to be so low.
At last my thoughts are no more,
for the journey of life is over and death is what remains to be thought.

I KNOW DARKNESS, I KNOW IT'S NAME,
I KNOW DARKNESS, I KNOW IT'S GAME,
IT RAINS UPON THE ONES WHO HAVE LOST FAME,
AND TURNS THEM INTO PEOPLE WHO ARE SO LAME,
THEY DON'T KNOW THEIR NAME,
THEY'VE LOST ALL GAME,
THEY WANT MORE FAME,
BUT THEY'RE JUST SO LAME,
THEY WANT PEACE OF MIND, BUT IT'S SUCH A SHAME,
TO KNOW THAT THEIR LIFE IS JUST A FRAME.

I liked this one a lot! It seems a lot more thought out than the others. No offence.

Gah!? What did you do here? I'm not being biatchy.... but I'd like to know if this was just a random moment or if you actually put much effort in bag It's a little... simple.

SIMPLE!I put a lot of effort into all my poems.Though I do think I'm pretty rubbish at ryhme.
