My Bloody Valentine

Major blast from the past. One of those bands I was heavy into a while back, then totally forgot about them. I've been bumping Loveless all day today, it really is a modern classic, I think it's just as influential as Nevermind, just not as credited. I don't how they make it work, it's basically just layers and layers of loud guitar distortion and skeletal drums with barely audible vocals, but it's just gorgeous. It doesn't sound as fresh as it did way back when, but it's aged pretty well all the same.

Shame they turned crappy after Loveless huh.

My Bloody Valentine are ace. Kevin Shields is a bit of a musical genius. They almost bankrupted their record label "Creation" making it, as it took about 6 years

He plays guitar in Primal Scream sometimes and he does movie soundtrack work as well. He worked on the music for Lost in Translation, which I really liked.
