Most Interesting Country

What country is the most interesting? I have always found Albania very interesting. How it is distant for Europe and other countries. Its not that anymore, probably, but still, it is interesting.

Between 1990 and 1992 Albania ended 46 years of xenophobic Communist rule and established a multiparty democracy. The transition has proven difficult as successive governments have tried to deal with high unemployment, widespread corruption, a dilapidated infrastructure, powerful organized crime networks with links to high government officials, and disruptive political opponents. International observers judged parliamentary elections in 2001 to be acceptable and a step toward democratic development, but identified serious deficiencies. Some of these were addressed through reforms in the Albanian electoral code prior to the nationwide municipal elections in 2003.

And it has the coolest flag.

I myself live in Finland.

Finland was a province and then a grand duchy under Sweden from the 12th to the 19th centuries and an autonomous grand duchy of Russia after 1809. It won its complete independence in 1917. During World War II, it was able to successfully defend its freedom and resist invasions by the Soviet Union - albeit with some loss of territory. In the subsequent half century, the Finns made a remarkable transformation from a farm/forest economy to a diversified modern industrial economy; per capita income is now on par with Western Europe. As a member of the European Union, Finland was the only Nordic state to join the euro system at its initiation in January 1999.

We almost kicked the Soviet Union's asses. 😂

What countries are the most interesting to you?

I would say Italy because I was born there!JM

Okay let's ignore the entire history of the roman empire. The renaissance and all the genius and art of the time. Let's ignore a large chunk of European history all together.

What makes Italy interesting is that Jackie was born there?

🤪 🤨 🤨 😖 ❌

Hey, the question was 'What countries are most interesting to you?'. Jackie chose Italy AND gave a reason, she answered the question - just because the answer was not to your liking does not mean you should post a derogatory post.

Sorry Corran, maybe I got a little carried away, but it's still a lame answer. Why does being born there make it interesting? That might be an interesting post, or at least would make sense.

Maybe it's interesting to her because she was born there but raised elsewhere - she could be keen to know more of the place of her birth, or she could find it interesting because of the Roman Empire, we should not be quick to dismiss people and their posts if we know not the reasons for them.

well, we have albanian immigrants here in Greece and, even though I'm not a racist, I have to say that the majority or lots of them are annoying... they spend their day hitting on every female living being that is not from Albania... and in a quite vulgar way 😐

no offense, some are really nice and all, just wouldn't vote it as the most interesting country 😖

that's why they left albania; not interesting enough to them 😉

Same here and I hope one day I would be able visit or maybe live there.

As much as I love the country in which I was born and now live, any country that currently isn't under 3 feet of snow is looking pretty damn interesting.
