Constantine?

The Hellblazer comic is coming to theatres. I guess they went with "Constantine" because it sounds cooler? dunno...
The trailer looks pretty awesome.

They named it constantine so people wouldent confuse hellblazer and hellboy. I doubt keanu will pull off the role of my favorite brit detective

I thought it was so they wouldn't confuse it with Hellraiser.

Anyway, I'd rather like to think that it's because keanu "woah" reeves is no Hellblazer, and they've decided to go with some distant family member. He's not british, he's not blonde, I hear he's not even going to smoke.

the comics are good, but it looks like the film is going to suck.

Looks like the movie will be good in my opinion.

THIS MOVIE ROCKED.. i m surprised there are not many replies at all.. oh constantine smokes countlessly in the movie. the movie is awesome 1 of the best movies i have seen in some time definately.. CGI right up there.. definately worth a sequel

Lucifer doesn't seem that powerful in that movie. They way they discuss Lucifer on these boards make it seem like he's as powerful as the Living Tribunal.

no, he is powerful in the movie. Its just that the hand that created lucifer is a bit more powerful. Not saying hes powerful after giving life back to John Constantine makes me wonder if u actually saw the movie.

Lucifer is technically super powerful, but prefers to use hit wits and deviousness to achieve his goals.

I thought the movie was ok... nothing special.
There wont be a number 2, he stops freaking smoking at the end thats so stupid.

I saw like tons of little kids in the theatre though, I got weirded out.

i think if they would make a second one, it'd prolly be a prequal. if they were to somhow make a sequal, he would hav to start smoking again somhow. prolly would just say something like "back to my bad habits"

i was gonna see it my mom got all crazy and was like, its rated R, no ur not seeing it, but i wanna see it sooooo bad. so im gonna make her take me sometime soon.

and then he took JC's cancer out and left in on earth. thats pretty powerful.

if ur saying "oh, he's not powerful cus he didnt bring hell on earth or anything" its cus he was following the rules of the wager he made with god.

I thought this was a great movie. Keanu did a great job as John Constantine even though he doesnt fit into the whole character in Hellblazer. He had the perfect personality for the part. I think they may have changed some of the character attributes to be more appealing to those who arent into the comics. The special effects were great and I thought Francis did a great job as the director. I t has made over 100 million worldwide, so it cant be too bad. I heard they are in talks for the sequel already.
