Oh yeah I've noticed both of those too.
I think the battered car in the forest could be intentional, then again it could just be a random beat up car. I think I found one near to where the GTA 3 (Claude) guy races you. Sometime after the race finished I found a parked beat up car. It was red and looked just like that film about the demonic car that comes alive - the film is by Stephen King and it's a girls name for the title I can't think of it off the top of my head.
I've seen Ghost cars too. Really freaky and funny glitch. Sometimes on sniping sprees I'll try and take out drivers from behind the wheel. I'd get to a car, aim, and there'd be nobody there.
Also - remember the valet mission where you get the valet uniform? Well when I parked my car and got out, I stood in the red circle to start the mission. The cutscene starts and when I was stood there waiting for the guy I was supposed to valet to show up, MY car that I left parked on the path next to me, reversed, turned and ran me over! Nobody got into it or anything, it just backed up and ran me over while I stood there waiting. I think the cutscene had something to do with it.

the only weird things I have seen are:
1. I was goin after all the oysters...I was swimming underneath a bridge that is Northwest of Mt. Chiliad...and some car came flyin off the bridge, and sunk, while the driver floated up to the surface....was kinda freaky
2. The random planes that hit the ground near you, like others have already said.
I'm begging the game to show me some other odd happenings (or sightings), but it's just not cooperating.

this is more of a question to the san andreas experts out the " were are these to stores Didlersachs and Victim the clothing stores are not on my map" is the something you have to beat or can you just go in to them if you find them I have looked every where for the anwser so this is the only way to get a straight forward anwser to my question. Anyone who has info about this please reply????

I have given up on modding my cars.
a) My cars dissapear from my garage - LAME!
b) Sometimes they'll still be there but have no paint (just white).
These glitches render the modding aspect of the game almost redundant. The glitches concerning modded cars are unbelievable and I'd say whenever you put your car into a garage, there's a 50/50 chance that the car will dissapear or have its paint job wiped. You can guarantee the same thing will happen if you leave your car in a garage in say San Fierro, spend some time in Las Venturas and come back to fetch your car. I have NEVER been able to keep my cars when I exit/re-enter different cities.
So lame.
I just got the cheat for the hydra jet, but i cant fly the damn thing. i thought since it was a jet it would be able to fly forward, like the other planes in the game, but it sort of flies like a helicopter...
Am i doin sumthin wrong? Or is that just how it flies? (which would really suck because its hot looking and it shoots missiles.)
