Also of course HR Geiger and Munch' The Scream are legendary. I also enjoy the poetry of Edgar Allen Poe, I love the gothic imagery, anyone have any thougts on Poe's poetry?

Marlyin manson is hardly a horror artist

His style of painting is very dark and gothic ,inspired by subjects such as death, decomposition ,lonliness , the darker side of life etc and the inspirations, themes, motifs and ideas come from the same place as alot of the best horror films. From ideas of universal and existential fear.
