What's with the initials?

Why do people put their initials after every on of their posts? Does not the large username to the upper left give us a big enough clue as to the identy of the poster?

What's the point?

i solved this dilemma by making a handle out of my initials.
so i dont have to sign anything here😛

Force of habbit.....who knows why we do it.

It's force of habit. In my case anyway.

People sign emails at the end, what's the point if the person already knows it's you? Coz you want to.

^^^Me. Being that I'm probably the most prolific user of the signature initials, it was a safe assumption. Made all the safer by the fact that we had JUST been interacting on another thread. In spite of this I said "If I'm wrong..." because I accepted that I might be.

No attack was intended from me either. You made the sarcastic/humourous (I hope) comment of "Didn't you parents teach you never to assume?" and being that I didn't fully assume, I made the same kind of comment back.

Does the joke stop when it's reversed back onto you then? Not trying to argue. Just returning the same kind of joke that was aimed at me. It's all in fun.
