How was Doomsday a weaker version than when he killed Superman

I though he gets stronger and harder to defeat evertime he comes back to life.

So how come a lot of you guys are saying that when Superman defeated him during their 3rd meeting, he was a weaker version?????

The truth is doomsday should have beat supes every time

Superman was holding back for each battle. He didn't use his powers lethally. He won the third time because he simply had enough.

Doomsday had intelligence during their third meeting and Superman said that Doomsday now had to worry about pain, being defeated unlike last time which he was a mindless brute who didnt care and then Superman defeated him with like two punches???

The reason superman died was because he played pansy boyscout and didnt try to throw him into the sun

Exactly. If he had the warrior mentality of Batman or Wolverine he would dominate (like he doesn't already)

And with that mentality, people still try to compare him and Gladiator. Their powers may be similar, but they're definitely NOT the same person. But, that's a whole different subject though.
