I'm not sure of that. The Rule of One is somewhat like the Ancient Sith order or even the True Sith Empire, although without the Sith/Dark Council. All Krayt did was recruit weaker individuals so he wouldn't get challenged. He then needed the help of the entire Empire to pull off a Coup, and couldn't even hang on to the throne for more than 7 years without someone stabbing him in the back.
