I'm working as the Accountant/Office Manager for a fundraising supplier in Northern California. It's called Your Fundraising Answer, or YFA for short.
It's pretty cool, we have the #1 product in fundraising right now, ASAP popcorn. It pops up in round shapes with images on the bag, like a baseball, basketball, football helmet, kettle pot, etc....
Since California has passed laws against having soda machines in school or promoting the sale of candy, we're making out like bandits. 😄
I got a bump up from my last job, from $10 per hour to $12.50 per hour, and after 90 days (middle of November) I'll get $14-15 per hour.
Another cool thing is the medical and dental benefits. For me and my wife, for full coverage, it cost $503 per month.
And the company covers $500 of it, so I have full benefits for $3 a month!!!
I also have profit sharing options, at $1.25 per hour, so when profit reports come out in Jan. and Jul. I will get a check based on the percentage. (my boss threw out the words "ten thousand dollar check" but I'll be happy with just one thousand) 😛
It's a cool job, I have my own office with a big "boss" style chair, and my own flat screen computer.
I just work a whole hell of alot harder here than at the floorcovering business I was office manager for before.
Anyways, you guys gonna see The Departed? I can't wait for that one.
And Casino Royale, that looks pretty good too.
