for my final post at kmc i will suggest that you definitely submit the second one. very nice use of color (and a lack of thick lines which i find refreshing)
just remember to not fall into cliche. sorry to say, but the first one is very cliche and has been done a million times. dont feel bad about it. at your age i was drawing nothing but metal band logos, skulls, and eyeballs. though you'll get progressively better in your technique, you'll also be in a creative rut by limiting yourself in subject matter.
