all im saying is if i was gay i would have likely enjoyed the eye candy, but as a straight male i see no redeeming qualities about the film. i mean, some of the battle scenes were cool in an impossible and often comically acrobatic and violent way, but other than that i found the dialogue mindless, the plot nonexistant, historically inaccurate irrelevant in every sense...which is why i cant understand why iran was so pissed, i mean...if they made a movie depicting 18th century americans as...well...orcs straight out of LotR, i doubt anyone here would raise a ruckus.
and whats the talk of "freedom"? get that. an oppressive 100% military-state society barking about freedom. spartains made the nazi germany look like a completely lax welfare state.
it just, as a whole, made zero sense at all, imho.
