why is that bad.... you sound like a recovered sex addict. lol

Well... This girl is very... dramatic... Happy one second, but the slightest thing can set her off and ruin her entire day... I can't count the number of movies she has gotten up and left because she was pissed about something small... She's like 23, but acts like she's still in high school. Why do I always attract either crazy or overly emotional girls? ... or both...

Oh, well... thus is life, I guess...

well if ur not interested your not interested. just make sure yu give er that vibe.

the weirdest boys are attracted to me. The strange nerd in class. the fat guy. and the sensitive cry babies. and then there's the boys who never had a girl speak to them during high school, and when I'm nice and talk to them, its like "ooh! she likes me." and try to talk to me all the time.

boys like that i make sure the 1st sentence out of my mouth is always about a boyfriend. well my fiance.

its my shield. that kindly says "get the **** away from me Virgin, and back off."

Yea, I don't have that shield as I am currently single... but, yea... I plan to make it clear that, if she is interested in me, the feeling isn't mutual.

Finally watched Avatar tonight.....wow. That's all I can say...just wow.
What a beautiful movie both visually and story wise. Yes, I loved the story even though most people thought it was pretty shallow.

I just loved it. The movie was light on dialogue, and heavy on visuals, and I really admire that.

It's the only kind around actually. Better get used to it. 😉

The main complaint that I have heard is that it is a story that has been done over and over again... but, what story isn't?

Well, that's not an encouraging statement at all...

Well....this story is certainly nothing I've ever seen before. A few plot points are predictable, sure, but the story is one of the most original ones I've seen. Unless I've been living under a rock and missed 20 movies that are just like Avatar. lol

It was just such a beautiful and intense film. They took CGI characters and gave them human emotions. It was fantastic.

Next up, Toy Story 3! God I hope they didn't screw it up. I have tons of faith in Pixar, but unless this movie has some mind blowing plot points and events that transpire, it would be a pointless film.

This is becoming more and more common. Girls have always had their crazy sides, but the immature princess mentality of girls nowadays is carrying on into their adult lives.

I've been going for older women lately, they are less crazy...but still, usually, crazy.

The big argument is that the plot line parallels Pocahontas... which, if you think about it... there are similarities.

It has also been called "Fern Gully in space"

Don't forget "Dances with Wolves".

I have actually never seen all of "Dances with Wolves"

Never had the time...

Pssh... tell me about it... I work at a movie theater, and am thusly surrounded by girls with that mentality. Especially from the ones who love Disney and Twilight.

And don't forget to mention the very very two-dimensional bad guys. So very predictably bad and lacking of any human nuance.

You know. I haven't really minded the two-dimensional villains as much as some people. Sometimes you never find out what makes your enemy tick, all you know is that he has to be stopped. Also, greed is a powerful motivator that has caused countless people to do terrible things in the past, and in Avatar, the humans are clearly motivated by their greed.

Don't get me wrong, however, I prefer the complex villain over the non-complex one. For instance, Wind Waker has my favorite depiction of Ganondorf, because it goes more into who he is and why he does what he does. But I wouldn't condemn a story simply because the villain doesn't have some complex reason for doing what he does.

I agree with everything you just stated Mandrag. I do prefer three dimensional villains, but heck, sometimes you need to just let loose and enjoy the film for what it is, and AVATAR did that just fine.

The military chief wasn't the most complex villain, but he was bad ass, and fun to watch.

I think the bad guys were very sub-par for Cameron. He has done so much better with movies that had less prep time.

I think its all Queeqs fault drinks are on him (not sure how that will werk out) but lets give it a shot..or two...make mine sour mash shots..lol

I agree, all drinks are on Queeq! I'll take a barrel of force beer.

dear father who art in the heavens hes gonna put this on my tab
