Well if there is anything I've learned...its the principle of escalation. There are two areas where this principle is extremely valid...arguments...and sexual harrassment.

Innuendo and flirtation almost always escalates, and that's what happened here. You can't protect yoursel by saying..."Okay...I have this imaginary line of comfort that all other parties, regardless of their age or maturity, should know about....Whoops....you just crossed it."

What kind of rule is that...really?

The only way to fix the problem is to prevent it...and you prevent it by not participating in it....because if you don't participate in it you haven't extended an invitation for something potentially offensive.

I haven't done much...which is a shame, really. I've been working quite a bit. I was mastering some of my older stuff...but haven't finished it. Perhaps I should.

I have been composing a lot on the piano....and I have a few themes I really like.

So if a lady flirts with people for the evening and even has a bit of a snog and stuff, she has no right to refuse the ultimate conclusion of the night that the guy may have in mind...?

Yaeh crack on! It was sounding decent...! And its always a good thing to keep the creative flow going..... 🙂

I would have edited it too...my point comes from the escalation you participated in...that came off as aggressive to me.

That's not what I meant...but if she is an instigator...can she reasonably expect people to have the same moral judgement and behavioral restraint she has? Its like playing with fire...you can't be a pyro and expect not to get burned at some point.

Sadly...I haven't really picked up my guitar in quite a few months...and the last time I did...I found I was actually losing some ability...which, for me...is a nightmare!

True, but thats the thing when you are trusting in other people having a bit of common sense/or a little experience in matters of the flirt..

I wouldn't say anyones been a metaphorical pyro here, and even if JP had been I guess it all goes back to the "right to draw a line somewhere" point I guess...

Ahhhh...Don't worry about that! The old finger memory'll flood back with the practice..! 🙂 Its just the question of developing stamina with practice after that... 🙂

I wouldn't say that either...but things do swell beyond our control and desire...therefore...prevention is the only cure.

I think that just about everyone knows where the line is with me judging by the responses that were posted after his post from other members who knew he had crossed the line tlb, Im sorry if you havent known me long enough to know where that line is.

Well...the point I was making was sometimes you see things as playful...other times you don't. Seems to depend on which way the wind blows.

Exactly...! And we prevent stuff by drawing a line...

This enables us to go about our lives having fun and games trusting that others have an understanding that that should be enough...
Hence legal prosecution being an alternative for those who lack the understanding/ ignore it....

I suppose the whole conversation hangs on Space's intentions....

Since he's been around for quite a while even before JP left...he knows her. Therefore his post could be attributed two ways....either he knows her line, or doesnt.

If he knows her line...then he said that to piss her off...which is stupid and lame and he should have his lips tied to a horse as is gallups away...

If he didn't know this crossed the line...is JP blameless for not have being implicitly clear before the event? *NOTE* I'm not saying Space is not responsible for his comment.
