Just out of curiosity what stops a redneck with a gun from blowing off her head? I mean, if she is uber telekenisis type, wouldn't logan or cyclops just be able to blow her away?

I think shields get too much credit. It's surely only as, or less, effective than massive physical toughness, and moreover it has to be put in place.

Magneto vs. Phonenix at the end of the Phoenix Saga: Phoenix, with some effort
Magneto vs. Dark Phoenix: Dark Phoenix, easily
