Stuff on it:
the producer of SAW 2 HACKSAW, which is currently in development at Lions Gate, and reports that original director James Wan and writer Leigh Whannell are taking a fresh direction in their script. Two characters, whose identities were not disclosed, will be returning from the original; it'll be interesting to see who, considering SAW's high mortality rate. A director is also now attached, though again, it hasn't been revealed just who it is, though apparently he's a known genre name. Wan and Whannell will supervise all aspects of SAW 2's production and postproduction (which will be happening fast to make the projected release this October)
I watched the beginning of the behind the scenes. They shot the whole thing in 14 days. Saw 2 by October is entirely possible (a lot of the F13s are a year apart).
I love Saw. It was just awesome. I'm looking forward to the sequel for his kills can't ever get tired, they can all be unique from one another (Freddy).
I am optimistic about the sequel, because I want to see more of Jigsaw, but I hope they don't reveal TOO much about him still, because I liked the fact that they hardly showed his face or talked specifically about him, like detailed information. When I watched the first one, I knew about the upcoming sequel, but I even thought that ending was fine, just the way that you don't really know exactly what happens to the doctor, or Jigsaw. It's good because it doesn't explain EVERY little detail, it gives you something to think about, but I'm still excited for this sequel, if they do it with the same style, which I believe they will because of it's release date being so soon.
