The Brit Awards - disgrace

I hate these nothing-awards. I hate these kinds of award ceremonies in general. They mean nothing. As to why I think these awards mean nothing - here is my reason:

The crown for the best song over the last 25 years was handed to ROBBIE f**king WILLIAMS for f**cking ANGELS.

Let me put this into perspective.

BEST. SONG. TWENTY. FIVE. YEARS. ROBBIE. WILLIAMS. ANGELS.

What the hell is going on? Angels? A throwaway James Bond rip-off pop song?

Out of EVERY SONG in the last twenty five years, bloody ANGELS gets chosen?

That's from 1980 onwards. Best song since then.

Robbie Williams won it.

Angels.

Somone needs to fix the spelling mistake on the Brits Awards. It's spelt SHIT AWARDS.

No awards ceremonies are worth anything.

Every awards ceremony has soiled itself so many times by giving out awards to crap people.

in America -Robbie Williams is a ONE hit wonder (with the song Angels, of course) I remember when that song came out ... it was on the f*ckin radio ALL THE TIME!!! I thought he had disappeared after that...

it wasnt until I went to London a year or so ago - I knew he was still alive -- he was playing at Knebworth... ugh!

yea 25 years!!! in brit music... hmmmm.... could have picked a Sex Pistols or ... well I love Oasis and Stone Roses... but .. yea they could have picked a better song than that

Rock and roll, real music, always gets sidelined for crappy pop acts. These awards are full of crap.

atleast the brit awards dont get as much hype and bullshit around them as the grammy. the grammys are just another place for the label exsecs to get together and suck their own dicks and go on about how great commercial music is. people take it so serious "oh but usher won a grammy" "yeah but hes shit" "BUT HE WON A GRAMMY!!"

Tool have won a grammy. So have Deftones. Means nothing.

The good thing about that is that it means nothing essentially to those great bands who unfortunately get them. Tool made a mockery of getting one, I'm pretty sure Deftones weren't too bothered either.

Usher gets one and goes mad.

I like Robbie Williams, but not for his music 😛

I think Guns and Roses - Sweet Child O Mine shoulda won.

The Grammys were just as bad. I only watched about five minutes of it, and in that five minutes I saw Billie Joe Armstrong, Scott Weiland, Bono, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Norah Jones, Tim McGraw and for some reason, Steve Tyler & some maracas singing that Universe song, which had something to do with the tsunami victims or something. Also I think Velvet Revolver won best hard rock performance. Zzzzzzz.

Oh yeah, apparently they had Joss Stone performing a Janis Joplin song. WTF.

didn't Ray Charles win a lot this year.. he is classic... but to bad he couldn't have been honored when he was alive..😬

anyways... Im glad I am not the only one who has noticed that the Grammys have gone to shit .. Usher is crap... I dont see what all the hyper is about him... he made a song about being cheating on his girl.. and people worship him cause they love that song.. I bet CHili wants to casterate him...

Not too groundbreaking of a revelation. Basically there has to be masses of shit music in order for good music to get by. It's the better way really.
