Yup, not much of an issue; he could have found out from any one of Anakin, Padme, 3-P0 or R2-D2 before he delivered Luke, or failing that, to have found and asked Watto.

Erm - last time I watched ANH, Obi-Wan has a nice holiday villa on Tatooine.

Maybe he just takes Luke to live with him at his bachelor pad on Tatooine.

Then, when Obi-Wan realises Luke needs to have his nappy changed, he says "Oh hell no!" and drops him off at the nearest homestead he can find. He leaves a note: "Father is Darth Vader, this boy is the last hope of the universe, so I'm leaving him on a farm"

Dude, he played Watto in that chance cube game, and won a widescreen collectors set of all the Star Wars movies. He just quit watching them after he died in Episode 4.
Too bad he doesn't like spoilind the surprises.
