People dislike Cyclops because he's a good guy. All these little nooblets want to see more WOlverine rugged type superheroes, or Deadpool, or Spawn, or someone equally angsty.
A lot of adults like Cyclops because he's actually the core X-Man, he's the prodigal heir to Xavier.
Cyclops is bad-ass when he wants to be, his character has many layers. He isn't all in your face angst angst angst. He has hidden demons, troubles, and I really like him as a superhero too.
The cool thing about Cyclops is that he has been given a sort of "bad guy" power. What I mean is that, if he was a bad guy, his powers would be a HUGE threat. We've seen what damage Cyclops can do, when he isn't in control. His character is the perfect example X-Man to everyone, he's the best example of "controlling your powers". I hope he sticks around forever, the team need him.

i liked scott and jean together..it did get a bit tedious, but it was good..they'll always be the couple..even when they not a couple. whenever ppl think of Cyclops, they think if Jean....it's annoying but it's been a historic couple

Hey, I really think Cyclops and Jean are a wonderful pair, they fit and they have that true love thing going on. The annoying thing is that everyone sticks their stupid idiot noses into the relationship, that's what's annoying! Urgh... how can you be in love with some one or interested in some one who is head over heels with some one else? Well, I guess you can, but really, they just want to be together so everyone should really just leave them alone. No one is really all over Gambit or Rogue... please, god that would be just as annoying if not worse. It just bothers me, so annoying.
