Love Poems

If I Should Die Tomorrow
by Mark Spencer

If I should die tomorrow,
Then I would go content,
Knowing that I understood
Exactly what love meant.

For I have loved another
With all my heart and soul.
And I know what it feels like
To be completely whole.

I tell her that I love her,
But words cannot reveal,
The measure of devotion,
That I have come to feel.

She’s my first breath when I wake,
My last thought e’re I rest,
And I ask God every day
How I could be so blessed.

I’m the richest man I know,
A king upon the Earth.
For mine is a treasure
Of unmatchable worth.

Let there be no weeping eyes,
No feelings of sorrow.
I will leave this world content,
If I should die tomorrow.

Will Always Love You
by Mark Spencer

I woke up one morning,
When I heard my baby cry.
Looking in the mirror,
She found a wrinkle by her eye.

She said, "Will you still love me
When my beauty slips away?"
And as I took her in my arms,
This was what I had to say.

I will always love you.
That will never end.
When we're old and gray,
You’ll still be my best friend.

With you I'd share each moment,
For the rest of my life.
I will be your husband,
If you will be my wife.

She gave me a daughter,
The apple of my eye.
We raised her together,
As the years flew quickly by.

And on our girl's wedding day,
My baby cried a tear.
When I put my arm around her
And whispered in her ear.

I will always love you.
That will never end.
When we're old and gray,
You’ll still be my best friend.

I wouldn't trade these moments
For any other life.
That's why I'm your husband,
That’s why you're my wife.

As time overtook us,
My life began to fade.
And last night, at my bedside,
She asked me why I stayed.

I took her by the hand,
And held it for a while.
Then breathing my last breath
I told her with a smile.

I will always love you.
That will never end.
Now we're old and gray
And you're still my best friend.

With you, I've shared each moment,
The best years of my life.
I'm glad I was your husband,
I'm proud you were my wife.

Cool....

Here is mine...

....Forever yours....

Since then,
I had my life.
You were there,
To refresh my life.

My days,
Have gone better.
And for each day,
I felt nothing better.

It's you,
That I love,
Please give me a chance,
To make myself clear.

Don't run,
Don't hide.
Why are you dodging from my love?

Knowing you,
Have made my life better.
It's only you,
That I'll forever love,
For now and eternity...

...A Heart Crowned with Thorns...

It was time,
Who put me in such fate.
Of deserving all these undesired pain.

Ouch! My heart cries out,
To the heaven above.
Am I in the position,
To wear this crown of thorns?

"Oh Lord, please stop
this terrible pain."

Day upon day,
I keep questioning myself.
Why do I have this pain,
As if I really deserve this fate?

Give me a chance to live my life,
That I won't choose another way,
Of ending my life,
Just like any other way...

...Are they in love?...

Friends, they say,
I laugh jokingly.

She winked,
He blinked.
Both flew, like they had wings.

They talk,
Like lovers,
And they sit,
Like love birds.

What more do I need to prove,
That they are not just friends?

Indeed friends, they say,
I laugh, jokingly...

I like the last one 🥷

Thanks... you are the second person to like my work!!
I know my works are a bit simple, but I'm still learning to write good poetry... 🙂

Well if you're only learning, then you're ahead of me... cuz I'm not the greatest with poems and such 😄 They were good! Keep it up!! 😄
