Yeah, you told me ( credits Tolkien ), but it was actually Exa ( credits Tolkien ) that went and found the information ( credits Tolkien ) in regards to the copyright laws ( credits Tolkien )

From the FAQ on the official site:

"I would like permission to quote from Tolkien's works in my website. How do I go about this?

Please make a written application to the Permissions Department at
HarperCollins Publishers,
77 - 85 Fulham Palace Road,
Hammersmith,
London,
W6 8JB"

Maybe it would be better to just include those passages that we enjoy the most...ones that have caught our eye about how Tolkien uses his details and descriptions, rather than just copying word for work the books....

Sound good to anyone ???

✅ Yes..sounds good to me..😄 *credits Tolkien* LOL..😛

Anyway, this may sound very stupid but anyone get this line? *credits Tolkien*

"I am a cook myself, but I cook better than I cook, if you know what I mean." ---Bilbo Baggins

*credits Tolkien*

LOL..I know Bilbo has some confusing lines sometimes that will really make you go "huh?" but I get pretty much most of them including the one during his birthday speech about the liking half of them half as well blah, blah, blah but this particular line above still confuses the hell out of my mind. I still can't figure out what exactly does he mean by that. Anyway, that's all. 😄 Is it symbolic? Or what? Dude, Bilbs man, I don't know what you mean. 😆 Sorry for the stupidity but I thought this is the best thread to ask about it. 😄

Anyway, Exa, just noticed your sig. And those are LOOOOTSS of people..😆 but thanks for having me there. 😄

Lol 🤨
No, I dont get the line... absolutely not Ô_o
Where was that? Want to know how thats translated to German...

Lol couldnt find any shortcuts of your name 😄... So I thought Il take SB until I find one ^^ any ideas? (because SB looks a little strange Ô_o )

*credits Tolkien* (all his work)

Exa, I'm at school right now so I can't look at my book and find out from what chapter did I read it but I just have an off-topic question. 🙂 What do those Elvish phrases in your sig mean? They sound so great. 🙂

*Credits Tolkien*

and yeah...S_B's fine. 😄

*credits Tolkien*

You mean
"Meneg hennaid", "Suilad a'phin vell nín" and "ah an îdh ui-dhór e chír-i-chyrf"?
Lol, actually nothing else than most members have in their sig... Meneg hennaid = "a thousand thanks" (for Sauron who made the sig), the next is "Greetings to my fave peeps" (well something like that 😄 ) and the last thing "and all the others in the LoTR-forum" 😛 😄

I wanted to use some nice quote or something but couldnt find any short ones...

*credits Tolkien* (and noticed that were already quite far away from the topic 😄 )

Oh, thanks. 😄 Anyway, back on topic now, yes. ✅ Anyone get that line? 🙂

*credits Tolkien*

It cannot be seen, cannot be felt
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills.
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter

Am I suppose to guess? 😄 *well..not really guess..it's in the book..😛 *

Dark!

*credits Tolkien*

my turn?

This wasn't in the book but I just thought of sharing since this is so cool and it is very, very related to what we're talking about in this forum. 😄

Millions of black ants:
The army marches forward in thousands of platoons;
In six brigades;
In three divisions;
All towards the One.
