Vanity

Here's a question worth thinking about -

Would you save someone's life if that meant you would have to be 75 pounds overweight for the rest of your life?

Those are the conditions - if you save the person, you WILL be 75 pounds overweight, and there's no compromise or possibility of losing that weight.

So, in all honesty, would you save someone's life if that meant you being obese for the rest of your life?

Discuss.

🤨
Palpy isn't happy: emp
😛

No really, what the hell are you talking about? 😕

to save a life? yeah sure. but it would have someone i know so they can kiss my ass and thank me endlessly and shower me with gifts for the sacrifice i made.

I am overweight anyway.... it wouldn't bother me in the slightest....

No I wouldn't.

Reason being that I don't see why I should spend the rest of my life unhappy with myself just so a guy can walk away from something and still have as much chance of getting hit by a bus.

People die every day so saving ONE life for a moment at the expense of the quality of my life going down the pan isn't worth it.

ha ha ha ha..I'm short...5'0, man would that would I be a meat ball.

But I would do it to save someones life. First I'd want to meet them and see if they're worth it. I would differently do it for someone I knew. 😑

Such a good question lil. B

Um, ok, so if your mother/father/brother or sister was going to die and the only person who could save their life said the following

''People die every day so saving ONE life for a moment at the expense of the quality of my life going down the pan isn't worth it.''

You would say :

''Hey, fair enough mate - my mother/father/brother or sister could die anyday - no reason for you to be unhappy for the rest of your life - he/she could get hit by a bus.

wow...mind bagging.

You stated "a person". You never said family member. What's "a person" to me? Nobody.

If it was a family member, I would be MORE likely to but they wouldn't want that.

Erm WTF?

To that person your family member is a Nobody. Read my reply - again - before replying to me.

Yes I would do it without a doubt.

What does that have to do with your original question? Or are you just upset that you again jumped in with both feet and got it wrong?

Yes my family member to them is a nobody. Just like they are to me. You're welcome to spend the rest of your natural life obese for some random person, rock on.

I'm not for that.

You know, you might be one of those rare people who can indeed argue they are not vain.

You got admiration from lil b. 👆

Wait, where do you draw the line to being overweight anyways? 🤨

If you are never ever ever going to see this random person that you are going to spend life as an obese person for, what's the point?

Thought I'd hurl that one out there. Let it float. Coz I have a feeling this comes back to the "You'd know you did a kind thing" theory.

Tough decision. I'm 5'2", and, like debbiejo, I would be one hell of a meatball. Either way, I would regret it every day of my life.

You are reading my answer to you, the way you like, thats why its making no sese to you - but ok, here, I'll spell it out for you, nice and slow, i hope you follow this.

What I am about to say is ''putting your answer in someone else's mouth'' Ok? Following so far?

According to your reply this is the situation - following me?

Your family member is bout to die, a person, a nobody, THE only person who can save their life, said what you said and that is -

''People die every day so saving ONE life for a moment at the expense of the quality of my life going down the pan isn't worth it.''

^^ok so the person who is the only one that can save your family member's life said what you said you would say if the saving someone's life was up to you...(yes? you still with me??)

Then by the answer you gave me you would agree with that person and say -

''Hey, fair enough mate - my mother/father/brother or sister could die anyday - no reason for you to be unhappy for the rest of your life - he/she could get hit by a bus.''

Do you understand what I am saying? I hope so - i can explain it more if you wish...

It's not something I would be entirely thrilled over but I couldn't let somebody die if it was that easy to stop it, even if I didn't know them.

Hell, I'm well over 75 pounds overweight as it is. In fact, if I were only 75 pounds overweight I'd have LOST weight, so hell yeah I would.

^ Lol!
