Military service

Any been in the force?
Me I had my 12 months tour of duty in the Infantry.
And then I have been transfered,involuntairily, to the mobilizing reserves, search and clear. 🙁 🙁

any bad luck that they will get you in active duty again?

no chanse of active duty, just the yearly training

how long does the training take? two days?

I'll probably get there in some years, unless it becomes voluntary in norway too.

Only kidding To, I know where you're coming from. After Sept 11th, I became all patriotic and I like to think I'd join up if full scale war broke out and felt I could serve my country.

if norway decided to go into war, I'd quit the military on the day.

they will miss a great general...

a general who wouldn't want to kill anyone? yeah, they'd probably miss that big time.

a general doesn't need to be in the front line

I am going to join the army in about two years now...hopefully I will be avalibale to join "jegerne" dont know any English word who make sence in this word. I will probably stay a couple years in the army..

Marine Jeger = Seals
Fallskjerm jeger= airborn rangers

Never did any military stuff.

My brother was in the Navy and my brother-in-law was an MP in the Air Force. My dad was in WWII in the Army.

well in a three years then i'm gonna sign up for the military, hopefully navy seal or garden

Navy Seal..not bad...do you know a english word for "hærens Jegere"? Anyway they are the same as Navy Seals actually, they do work behind enemy lines...like the Norwegian Special forces in Afghanistan are doing as we speak.
