They are musicians (in the literal sense), and not celebrities. They aren't actors, they don't star in movies, so they belong more so here than anywhere else.

Don't worry, now that the threads are here, I have a feeling they won't thrive.

It's pretty cut and dry. Threads pertaining to musicians go in the Music Forum. Regardless of the nature of the thread, weither it be to post pictures, talk about their music, spread rumours..whatever. They are a band, they play music, welcome to your new home.

There were a few factors in my decision to move the handful of threads to the Music forum, which is only being opposed by SP fans, and all because they can't accept criticism for what most everyone else percieves as the truth, that being the level of superficiality. I don;t care why you love the band, music or looks. It belongs here.

The other reason being is my trying to reason with most of you. There were too many instances where I had to close threads because people were misbehaving, weren't staying on topic, and were otherwise disruptive. I finally asked myself why there were threads about musicians in a Movie related forum. Celebrity, by definition of its forum, is pertaining to MOVIE celebrities, not attractive band members. That decision was pretty simple, and easy to make.

So, in closing, this is the new home to talk about SP band members. If you have a problem, notify Deathblow, and if he can set aside any biases, and moderate his forums accordingly, which I have faith he can and will, things should be fine.

Could a mod merge this thread with the main Simple Plan thread?

This is quite sad.

I only have one Simple Plan song, and I've never listened to it because I didn't get it by choice. It came with a bunch of other free songs on iTunes for my listening enjoyance (except that one...)

DavidsGrl, your report of Slippy means nothing to me. He doesn't like Simple Plan (or any other bands that aren't on his list of all-time greats), deal. 😐
