Wait Wait Wait. I know something that could work! The girls could pretend to have their shield up, but not, and then just race as normal. And if Green Lantern launches a nuke, then the girls would be in danger of dying, so the ring would shut down, and the girls could win!

how would the ring shut down? because his nuke would hurt them as well as their cars?

Yes. The ring would hurt them, and since the ring's programming prohibits the taking of life by the green lantern, it shuts off when a life is going to be taken.

and i dont see why he couldnt create a small localised nuke that destroys their engines...

Wouldn't any nuke in general kill a defenseless group of girls?

If he destoryed their engines, they'd spin out, and might end up in a fatal car crash. The ring can't allow that.

no...

in ultimate war hawkeye used a small nuclear arrow to take down colossus without affecting the surrounding area, if he can do that green lantern can surely make a smaller one to take out the engines...

it would be the radiation more than anything, but since its a nuke of his creation thats easily bypassed in its inception...

if they're so defenceless then they dont have a chance against someone as powerful as green lantern...

are you kidding me? so tornadoes, mindbubbles and mind wipes wont cause fatal car crashes? please...

They are defenseless against green lantern... But they aren't defenseless against a powerless green lantern. The girls don't have powers that shut off when someone is going to die because of them. The green lantern, however, does.

then why is he even in the fight?

imo any attack on the cars can hurt or kill the occupants, so the non attacking enemies rule is a bit silly...

I'm not the creator of the Green Lantern, or of any of his stupid concepts. If you want the power of Green Lantern, you need to take the weaknesses of the Green Lantern.

i don't think GL should be able to make a field around the guys cars cause cars are made of steel and i have read on web-sites and in the comics that his ring can't affect steel

the field is not skin tight, it is around the area the cars are in... it works...
