Climate change

They say the recent earthquake on 26.12.2004, whose force is equivalent to a small meteorite, caused a sudden change in the earth's rotation and altered its shape, slowly changing the position of the poles. I suppose the climate is also affected by this.

Well...if the poles shift, then your talking equatorial shift... even changing this a few degrees will have a big effect at its widest point of difference.
