okay storm can charge the atmosphere, ball lightning on a grand scale lightning is about electron transfer and Stormy can manipulate/trip say the electrons in their orbits of atoms everywhere in a localised region [ charging the air [which is the space between atoms , she can break the bonds between the atoms and molecules of ironmans suit by messing with the electrons and therefore attraction between individual atoms [fry the suit silly in simple terms]],
