what's your IQ?

I just took an IQ test at the following site..

And my general IQ is at 125..

I scored around or above 130 in most areas with the exception of computational speed..where I scored around only 80.

So in other words, I'm a borderline genuis..who's slow at learning. 😆

What is everyones IQ? And do IQ tests really measure an individuals overall intelligence?

I scored 139.

done one before 167 and my son has (11years) 136.

either were clever or good at wierd logical thinking.

I don't think they're completely biased. They can be somewhat accurate in measuring book smarts given the right conditions. Unfortunately they aren't too good at measuring practical or emotional intelligence.

I've never taken one in real life though. I would imagine that they are much more difficult.

True, I used to know a guy who claimed to have a 160 IQ, but the dude was as dumb as a brick about practical matters.

I guess it all really boils down to not what you know, but how you use it.

Most psychologists say that they aren't much good for measuring anything over 100. For measuring under 100 however, they are pretty reliable. The reason is that that is the purpose they were designed for. Purely to measure how deficient the mentally handicapped were.

Not completely accurrate. The CogAT(sp?) and several other tests are used to see if children qualify for GT programs. It uses a scale similar to the WAIS and other IQ tests used to measure adult level IQ's.

Language and culture are often additional factors that are overlooked in most IQ tests. I've known some really bright kids who are waay above average intelligence, but since english isn't their primary language they generally score a lot lower.

My IQ is probably around 100. The midpoint of normalcy. I would wager that most of KMC's posters have an IQ of around there.

Not that IQ is really accurate or anything.
