My friend's hunter dual weilds Dawn's Edge's. How come you can't wear two meteor shards?

Do they have level restrictions on items in there? In NWN sometimesif you were to dual wield exact duplicates of weapons the level restriction range would increase.

Yep, but they're for single items and it never changes.

Quest reward items have no level requirement though.

You have to manually script in the scaling requirements in NWN, but it's a cool feature. One reason why NWN is superior. 😛
